Bad weather had its way over the weekend delaying home construction on Clinton County's second Habitat for Humanity project but things are expected to pick up in the coming days. Already, home construction workers are gearing up for a tough day at the office as construction work scheduled to begin on Friday and Saturday are expected to be completed within 5 days.
"Everything is on schedule, and we're hoping we can get it done in two weekends," said Jehu Brabham, Parkway Baptist Church Administrator and a member of the Habitat for Humanity Build Team. The group was also responsible for raising $70,000 earlier in the year which was eventually used to finance the project. Brabham is also calling on willing volunteers to call Habitat's hotline at (601) 353-6060 should they wish to participate in the noble cause that gives home to the displaced.
